Despite his understanding of the sociology of science, Jo Reichertz defends conventional criteria for establishing the quality of qualitative social research methods. His argumentation seems to be motivated by the attempt to satisfy administrative standards external to science in attempts to garner external funding. In doing so he neglects to address the innovative and pioneering characteristics that qualitative social research has. URN: urn:nbn:de:0114-fqs0003392Downloads
