Abstract

A symposium was held to mark the first anniversary of Journal of Discourse Research (ZfD), at which the status of German discourse research was discussed. Since its inception, German-language discourse research has been characterized by connections, challenges and limitations of interdisciplinarity in terms of both practical research and methodology. In four lectures and two panel discussions, participants explored specific issues of interdisciplinarity. Taking into account the difficult process of institutionalization of discourse research in the 1990s, it can be determined that a diverse and highly productive research environment has been created that marks a specific style of interdisciplinary thinking.

Lisa-Marian Schmidt, Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin

Lisa-Marian SCHMIDT studierte Soziologie technikwissenschaftlicher Richtung an der Technischen Universität Berlin und ist derzeit wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin. Nach dem Studium war sie zunächst für ein halbes Jahr Stipendiatin am Fachgebiet Allgemeine Soziologie der Technischen Universität Berlin. Im Anschluss arbeitete sie in einem wissenssoziologischen Forschungsprojekt der Alice Salomon Hochschule Berlin, in dem Unternehmensnachfolgen von KMUs untersucht wurden. Daneben war sie von Januar bis August 2011 Mitarbeiterin am Fachgebiet Wissenschafts- und Technikkulturen der HafenCity Universität Hamburg. Seit Oktober 2012 forscht und promoviert sie im Projekt "Übergänge erfolgreich gestalten: Übergangsmanagement zwischen Schule, Ausbildung und Beruf".
