Udo KUCKARTZ has provided a German introduction into "mixed methods," tying into an Anglo-American discourse with a particularly practical orientation. The book discusses the development of mixed methods, important definitions, conceptual connections, and demarcations, as well as research designs and dimensions for (software-based) data analysis. What this overview is lacking, however, is a discussion on the limitations and typical problems of combining methods, as well as problem-solving strategies for the integration of different methods.
