Abstract

The report gives an overview of a conference that recognized and focused upon the fundamentals of knowledge organization as well asked questions and offered solutions for practice. The primary emphasis was given to the application of cooperative learning and working environments. The special value of this conference was the focus of the presentations and detailed discussions on current topics in the information sciences. Although the spectrum ranged from scientific to organizational environments of knowledge organization, the general importance of modern communication and presentation forms as well as their adequate recognition for groups were stressed. Doris A. Ohnesorge, Universität Innsbruck

Mag. Doris OHNESORGE (geb. 1974): Studium der Betriebswirtschaftslehre (Universität Innsbruck) mit den Schwerpunkten Unternehmensführung und Wirtschaftsinformatik. Doktorandin am Institut für Unternehmensführung und Philosophie und freie wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Institut für Unternehmensführung, Universität Innsbruck. Lehrbeauftragte für die Kurse "World Civilization" und "Business Organizations and Management" an der Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok, Thailand. Ihr Projekt konzentriert sich auf die Schwerpunkte interkulturelle Wahrnehmungsprozesse (besonders Österreicher und Thailänder), interkulturelle Strategieentwicklung und qualitative Forschung.

H. Peter Ohly, Informationszentrum Sozialwissenschaften

H. Peter OHLY, Dipl. Volkswirt sozialwiss. Richtung (geb. 1945): Studium der Soziologie und Sozialpsychologie in Köln im Rahmen der wirtschaftswissenschaftlichen Fakultät; seit 1978 Mitarbeiter des Informationszentrums Sozialwissenschaften Bonn in verschiedenen Arbeitsbereichen. Vorsitzender der Deutschen Sektion der "International Society for Knowledge Organization" (ab 1999). Mit-/Herausgabe verschiedener Dokumentations- und Sammelbände, u.a. "Sozialwissenschaftlicher Fachinformationsdienst Methoden und Instrumente der Sozialwissenschaften" (seit 1979) und "Globalisierung und Wissensorganisation: Neue Aspekte für Wissen, Wissenschaft und Informationssysteme" (Ergon Verlag 2000).
