Author Biography

John E. Glass, University of North Texas

John GLASS is currently the Director of Program Evaluation at The Family Place, a domestic violence agency, in Dallas, Texas, USA. He is responsible for designing and implementing outcome evaluations for all of the agency's programs. He was worked in the human service field for the last 12 years. His work responsibilities have included counseling, training, management, consulting, and education. As a result of working at The Family Place, he has increased his awareness of patriarchal social structures and the extent to which they oppress and demean women. Having had an "awakening" about his own male privilege, he is currently developing a Male Privilege intervention program.
