Zur Praxis phänomenologischer Forschung: die Freisetzung von Bedeutungen im Diskurs

Abstract

In diesem Beitrag bemühen wir uns um die Reflexion von Erfahrungen mit qualitativer Methodologie aus einer phänomenologischen Perspektive, die wir im Rahmen eines erziehungswissenschaftlichen Graduiertenprogramms an der Universidad Federal de Pernambuco (Brasilien) gewonnen haben. Die Konzepte, die wir für unsere Untersuchungen hinzugezogen haben, haben uns – ebenso wie die Themen der Forschung selbst – in Richtung einer phänomenologischen Methodologie orientieren lassen. Aus dieser Perspektive beinhaltet ein Verstehen von Realität die Anerkennung der Bedeutsamkeit kultureller Phänomene und greift insoweit auf Alltagserfahrungen zurück, die aus Alltagspraktiken resultieren. Von dieser Überlegung ausgehend haben wir uns für die Frage nach den Diskursen (in Anlehnung an Paulo FREIRE und Maurice MERLEAU-PONTY) als Zentrum unsere Reflexion entschieden. Phänomenologische Forschung verhilft hier zum Verständnis der strukturellen Bedingungen von unterschiedlichen Bedeutungen und von deren Wertgebundenheit, in denen sich die Repräsentationen von soziohistorisch, ökonomisch und kulturell situierten sozialen Gruppen niederschlagen. Nur mithilfe von Diskursen können die Beziehungen, können Intentionen, Bedeutungen und kann Subjektives "eingefangen" und "enthüllt" werden, die aus unserer Perspektive grundlegende Elemente für den Verstehensprozess sind. Ana Cristina Loureiro Alves Jurema, Federal University of Pernambuco

Ana Loureiro JUREMA: Ph.D. Associate Professor, Graduate School of Education, Department of Psychology and Educational Orientation, Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. Her areas of interests are qualitative research methodologies, policies for higher and professional education, and distance education. As part of a team, she has actively worked on education policies for the public school system in Northeast Brazil, with an extensive involvement in professional development for teachers in different Brazilian states. She has conceived and written didactic manuals and materials, she has participated in workshops with teachers in Australia, Brazil and US. Her work has been published in books and articles, and has presented at national and international conferences. At the moment she is working as an International Consultant in Education in Training and on-the-job-training projects in Mozambique.

Maria de Lourdes Correia Pimentel, Boa Viagem College

Maria de Lourdes CORREIA-PIMENTEL: Ms. in education, teaches at the Management Department at the Boa Viagem College. Her areas of interest are qualitative research methodologies, policies for higher and professional education, training teachers and pedagogical practice. She also works in the Public School system with people with special needs (blind and deaf-blind). In relation to this work she has taught several graduate courses in Northeast Brazil. Her work has been published widely.

Telma de Santa Clara Cordeiro, Federal University of Pernambuco

Telma de Santa Clara CORDEIRO: Ms in education, teaches at the Department of Teaching Methods and Techniques in Education, at Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil. Her areas of interest are qualitative methodologies in the field of training and pedagogical practices. She has participated in national conferences and published about these themes. At the moment she is completing her doctoral thesis about the teaching process in the university context.

Ana Gabriela AUSTREGÉSILO NEPOMUCENO: Ms in education, teaches at the Department of Psychology at the Boa Viagem College.
