Die Verwendung des biografischen Ansatzes zur Konstruktion von Jugendtechnobiografien

Abstract

In diesem Artikel berichten wir über unsere Analyse als Teil eines Forschungsprojekts, das von 2012 bis 2018 durchgeführt wurde, und wir untersuchen das Potenzial des biografischen Ansatzes bei der Untersuchung der Aneignung digitaler Technologien (DTs). Der biografische Ansatz (SAUTÚ 2012) wird als theoretisch-methodische Strategie beschrieben, um zu eruieren, wie Menschen über Zeit und Raum und im Rahmen bestimmter kultureller und sozioökonomischer Kontexte mit verschiedenen digitalen Technologien in Verbindung treten und wie sie Bedeutungen, Praktiken und Beziehungen konstruieren.

Anhand der Analyse einer Reihe von Technobiografien (CHING & VIGDOR 2005) junger Menschen reflektieren wir die Möglichkeit, mittels der Methode die symbolische Dimension des Zugangs zu digitalen Technologien zu erfassen, den Erwerb digitaler Fähigkeiten und ihre Rolle bei Bildungsübergängen zu rekonstruieren und die Verbindungen zwischen biografischen Verläufen und umfassenderen sozialen Prozessen zu verstehen, wie also z.B. jenen, durch die soziale Ungleichheiten in heutigen Gesellschaften konstituiert und reproduziert werden. Wir zeigen, dass Technobiografien ein nützliches Konstrukt sind, um Wiederholungen, Trends und Verhaltensmuster zu identifizieren, aber auch, um alles Ungewöhnliche in den Wegen der Aneignung von digitalen Medien in einzelnen Gruppen aufzuzeigen.
